Data valuation – what is your data really worth?

As many know – “nothing in life is free” – and that saying concerns almost everything. But many do not consider how it is, that you can login on Facebook or other social media platforms and use it, without paying. We do see the commercials, which we know the companies pay for, but under the surface, the real value is the data you generate. It is not just your name, email, age and sex, but your behavior and reactions to everything.

We do not really know what this data is worth, and furthermore, we run into the contradictory problem: even though you generate data, you are not the one in control. It is not possible to opt-out and pay for a subscription to Facebook instead, because of course the data you generate is much more worth than a monthly subscription from their users. This leads us to the question: how do we regain the control?

Join our Digi-Talks webinar 14th April 2021 from 16:00-17:00, where John Arts, co-founder of Rita will explore how they have created a data management tool that allows you to see ice cold numbers of your data value. Additionally he will provide you insights to how the platforms, without your knowledge, actually sell your information. Furthermore, he will give you inspiration on how you can take the control back, and choose who can have your data and who cannot.
